Peaceful Soleutions - A Global Peace Project by Suzanne Gray

Using paint, markers, henna, stamps, ink, etc, decorate the soles of your feet, reflecting your vision of peace. Wrap black fabric around the feet, then photograph them so only the soles are visible. Send the jpg image (labeled yourname.jpg) to footforthought@gmail.com, indicating GAP feet in the subject line. There is no fee to participate. The images will be incorporated into a peace montage, and sent to another country as part of a global art exchange in April 2010.

Spring Arts Walk - Olympia WA

Olympia Arts Walk is held on Friday April 24th from 5 to 10 pm and Saturday from 12 to 7 pm... I will be located in the Urban Onion and will have Sumi-e cards and matted Sumi-e for sale/viewing. Friday night from 5 to 9:30 pm, I will be a presenter for Family Night Activity. [project - decorating a small wooden top]

Come on downtown to celebrate the arts in our community! Experience visual and performing arts in over 100 businesses by hundreds of artists every fourth Friday/Saturday in April and first Friday in October. Special features include hands-on family activities, demonstrations and impromtu street performances. The spring Arts Walk includes the incredible the Procession of the Species produced by Earthbound Productions. For artists, art lovers and the art curious, this event is a wonderful opportunity to embrace the arts in all forms! Maps with listings of venues and artists are available two weeks before the event at participating locations and at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, in downtown Olympia. Women & Water Rights - 4x6 postcard art exhibit

A worldwide call for entries to a mail art exhibit addressing the issues of Women and Water Rights. An inclusive global mail art exhibit open to women, women/men collaborations, and students. This is an opportunity for all to express their personal views and concerns about the relations between women and water rights. All work will initially go to a website blog. Selected work will be mounted as part of the exhibit. A slide show of all the mail art may be available during the exhibit. The formal exhibit venue is at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery.
