collect or maintain any information about how you as an individual use our
website.
NLS does not rent or
exchange email addresses or telephone numbers or any other information.
Commissions:
Private commission work is not
limited to creating PMC jewelry, collage, sumi-e, painting a particular color
enso or preparing a specific Kanji character to add to an enso or mat. Nine Lives Studio can design business cards, note cards,
post cards or create logos using sumi-e designs. Nine Lives Studio
does reserve all rights of reproduction and all copyright on any work produced.
Commission fees:
50% advance. Balance due on delivery of your painting, PMC jewelry,
collage or other art work. Shipping fees and mat and/or framing (for non
shipped paintings) figure into price as well as the size and detail of the
painting.
License
Definition
Only the
artist can grant the right to use his or her work. This grant is usually called
a license or an assignment. The terms of use should be clearly described. The size of the reproduction, distribution, territory, length of time
used are just some of the terms that must be considered depending on the
use. You only have permission to use the rights granted, all other rights are
retained by the artist. If you use the work longer than the time period granted,
you are an infringer. Once the terms expire, your rights expire. For example,
if you have permission to use a photograph in a brochure for one year, and you
use it for two, you are an infringer.
Licensing:
The
artwork of Ellen Miffitt – Nine Lives Studio is available for licensing in all
markets, including: collectables, collector plates, greeting cards, calendars,
dinnerware, giftware, gift wrap, home decor, home furnishings, children’s
furnishings, textiles, cross-stitch, pillows, throws, area rugs, kitchen
accessories, comfort mats. mugs, posters, puzzles, games, stationery, notepads,
boxed cards & greeting cards, T-shirts, wallpaper, limited edition prints, giclee prints, wall coverings. The artist will work with individual clients
to create specialized designs to fit their needs. Artwork for licensing is
digitized using a direct scan, and is provided to the customer on CD in high
resolution Adobe Photoshop format. Most of the artist's images can be re-sized
to accommodate manufacturing needs. Qualified licensees can request a portfolio
of the artist's work for review. Contact the artist for more
