Founded by Whom and Why

I, Ellen Miffitt, am the founder and sole owner of Nine Lives Studio. I licensed my business on October 31, 2002 and have sold paintings at Olympia Art League shows, Puget Sound Sumi Artists exhibits, Northwest Collage Society shows, Olympia spring & fall Art Walk, regionally, nationally and internationally. During my thirty year career, I have created for clients: business cards, brochures, hand lettered invitations, logos, jewelry and other original art work or crafts.

Nine Lives Studio located in Olympia Washington produces and markets original art work and associated products by Ellen Miffitt and presents art instruction locally at various venues. The primary products are original traditional and interpretative sumi-e art work, sumi collage, collage/assemblage, and PMC (Precious Metal Clay) jewelry. Limited edition art prints and greeting cards with enso, animal or nature themes from reduction of original sumi-e brush work (ink or ink with color) are available for wholesale, retail and consignment sales targeted in general markets locally, regionally, and internationally to include local galleries, juried exhibitions, interior design business, Nine Lives Studio Internet Gallery and licensing.
